L’Oreal Infallible fixing mist

I am no stranger to make up, however i had never invested in a fixing spray as I didn’t really see the need. One day whilst purchasing lipgloss I came across the L’Oreal Infallible Fixing Mist and thought I might as well give it a try and see what the hype was about.

It did in fact improve the long lasting wear of my makeup, however I was a bit disappointed with the formula. When I spray it on my face it completely soaks my face leaving it wet. And if you spray on too much it leaves these white marks on your face which pretty much ruins your make up. I found a way to avoid this by dabbing off the excess liquid before it dries – but I found that it not only ruined my makeup but also took away the product and thus my make up didnt last as long.

I purchased this out of my frustration with the white marks the L’Oreal product left me with. I find it to be more light weight and doesn’t leave my face feeling sticky. The only problem is I’m not sure if it actually works! I don’t necessarily feel as though it leaves my make up in a near perfect state for the whole day.

Verdict

Both products are priced at just below £8 so they are not too expensive. I would honestly say that the L’Oreal fixing spray is better but requires more effort making sure that it doesn’t ruin your make up.

Neither product has blown me away and I am still on a quest to find something that works for me. If you have any recommendations please let me know.

Have you tried fixing powder? I have a Mac translucent one and I think it’s great, not drying at all! X
